Detectives in Queens are looking for the suspect who shot a man in the eye early on Tuesday morning.
Police sources said the wounded victim sought aid from cops just after 5 a.m. on June 16 as he attempted to drive himself to the hospital near NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, located at 140-50 Booth Memorial Ave. in Flushing. Law enforcement sources said the victim flagged down cops and explained that he had been shot.
The officers discovered that the 26-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound to the right eye. Police called EMS, who rushed him to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, where he was listed in stable condition.
During a preliminary investigation, police determined that the victim had been shot on the Horace Harding Expressway within the confines of the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are not yet known; sources familiar with the case report that the victim is not being cooperative with the investigation.
Police did not have a description of the suspect, and no arrests have been made.
