A 26-year-old man shot in the eye on a Queens expressway early Tuesday managed to drive himself to the hospital, police said.
Cops are now trying to track down the shooter — without any help from the victim, who has refused to talk about the circumstances of the shooting, police sources said.
Police were first alerted about 5 a.m. when the victim rolled up to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Queens bleeding from his eye and flagged down officers.
Cops rushed him into the hospital, where he was expected to recover. Investigators later determined he was shot while driving on the Horace Harding Expressway near 108th St. in Forest Hills, about two miles from the hospital.
After getting shot, he immediately drove himself to the hospital, but wouldn’t tell investigators what happened.
No arrests have been made.
Police were trying to access surveillance and traffic cameras to find out exactly what happened.
