Timeline:
New York City’s first ticker-tape parade for the Knicks will be this Thursday, June 18.
8 a.m. – This is the time Mayor Zohran Mamdani recommends spectators arrive at the route10 a.m. – The official start time of the parade10:30 a.m. – The parade should hit its halfway point along its route11 a.m. – The procession will arrive at City Hall Plaza11:30 a.m. – The mayor will host a championship celebration and Key to the City ceremony after the parade concludes 
Street closures
Local perspective:
According to the Downtown Alliance, the NYPD will begin locking down streets to vehicle traffic at 8 a.m. Thursday, with all of Broadway being closed from Battery through Worth Street.
These additional roads will be closed before and during the parade:
State Street between Whitehall and Battery Place.Battery Place between Broadway and West Street.Side street closures between Greenwich Street, Trinity Place and Church Street on the west side of the parade and Nassau and Broad streets on the east side of the parade.Park Row between Ann Street and the Brooklyn Bridge will be used for official parking.
