Republican U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, of Ohio, will visit Fulton County later this week to support Anthony Constantino’s campaign in the Republican primary for New York’s 21st Congressional District, Constantino’s campaign said Tuesday.
The candidate and the congressman on Thursday will tour Epimed in Johnstown, which manufactures devices for anesthesia and pain management, highlighting American manufacturing. Constantino is CEO of custom sticker company Sticker Mule.
“Anthony Constantino has spent his life creating American jobs and supporting Made in America businesses,” Jordan said in a statement. “While some Washington politicians and corporate special interests have shipped our manufacturing overseas, Anthony has been right here building opportunity for New York families. He will fight to cut the red tape that strangles our manufacturers, demand that the government buy Made in America products, and stop the radical left from destroying our industrial heartland. NY-21 needs a congressman who will put Made in America manufacturing first, and Anthony is that fighter!”
Constantino is running to succeed Rep. Elise Stefanik. He faces state Assemblyman Robert Smullen for the Republican nomination. Constantino has been endorsed by President Donald Trump. Rep. Jordan is chair of the House Judiciary Committee and a strong Trump ally in the lower chamber on Capitol Hill.
“Congressman Jordan understands what I’ve learned through decades of job creation: Made in America matters! It matters for our economy, for our workers, and for our families. I’ve spent my life creating thousands of good-paying jobs right here in upstate New York, and I will bring that same commitment to Congress,” Constantino said in a statement.
The 21st Congressional District is made up of most of the North Country and parts of the greater Capital Region and Mohawk Valley. Early voting in New York is ongoing and runs through June 21. Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 23.
