Juneteenth celebrations planned Friday and Saturday in Manhattan

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Manhattan is ready for a 2-day celebration to mark Juneteenth 2026.

Betty O and Dr. Zelia Wiley joined Eye on Northeast Kansas to preview events planned Friday June 19 and Saturday June 20.

Friday includes a grill-off at 5pm and a 7pm concert featuring ‘Party Train’, formerly known as The Gap Band. Both events at City Park in Manhattan.

Saturday includes a unity walk, a cultural showcase, kids zone, vendors and more at the Douglas Activity Center in Manhattan.
