One Disney World enthusiast is proving you don’t need to live in Florida to get a regular dose of that mouse magic.
New York City resident Kyra Page takes monthly getaways to the Orlando resort, many of which have been solo day trips. In fact, her passion for the Most Magical Place on Earth inspired her to document her micro escapes and other Disney travels on her TikTok account, @kyrakinskywalker.
Page’s love of Disney World runs deep, from her grandparents taking her dad every summer, to eventually becoming an annual pass holder herself growing up. After moving to New York City, Page became inspired to start taking day trips to the park and documenting them on social media.
“Being a Disney lover, obviously it’s on my For You Page a lot — everything about the movies, the parks,” she tells PEOPLE. After first seeing Florida-based Disney influencers making quick visits to the park, her feed started showing her people in states across the country doing the same.
“I was like, ‘Hey, if they’re doing it, maybe I can do it as well,’” she says.
Page started getting serious about her monthly excursions in July 2025, and was able to make consistent day trips work with her schedule usually on Saturdays. While she started going on her trips solo, she quickly found there were a lot of people in New York City who were interested in doing the same.
“After I started recording the day trips and posting them on TikTok, I actually had a ton of girls reach out to me and say, ‘Hey, I’m based in New York, I love Disney as well. Do you have a group?’” Page recalls.
Messages like those inspired her to launch her own Facebook group, Subway to Skyliner, which serves as a space for New York City-based women to connect and potentially travel to the parks together.

“It’s just meant to be a fun Disney group and a connection point for women here in the city, but it’s even grown to people outside of the city,” says Page. “There are girls in the group that live Upstate, like an hour north of the city, or there are even girls that live in South Jersey.”
Page, who works in finance in Manhattan, says the group has quickly become a tight-knit community where she’s met a lot of new friends.

Page’s most recent day trip that she documented on TikTok showed what it’s like to travel to Disney solo. It reflected some of the difficulties that come with making the trip work — like having to leave her apartment around 2 a.m. to catch her 5 a.m. flight — but Page says it’s all “worth it.”
“It’s nice to get away, and it’s a nice escape. Here in the city, it’s busy. I enjoy going to Disney because I know it like the back of my hand. I can shut my brain off, eat good food, see fun things and, and just enjoy the day,” she says.
