AAA says the national average is $3.97. That’s a 12-cent drop from a week ago.
The price at the pump has been dropping for four straight weeks.
Experts say crude oil prices are down as the U.S. and Iran reached a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
AAA shows drivers in several states are still paying more than the national average. Right now, the average across New York is $4.27.
In the Watertown area, the price has dropped 11 cents in a week to $4.31.
