Authorities say they are on the hunt for a sicko who attempted to kidnap and sexually assault a teenage girl in Staten Island on Saturday.
According to police sources, the incident occurred at approximately 9 a.m. outside a jewelry store located at 55 Richmond Terrace on June 20. A 14-year-old girl was standing outside the business when a man approached her. Cops say he used intimidation tactics to take her to a nearby deli before then riding with her in a taxi to an unknown location.
Once they had left the cab, the pervert attempted to sexually assault the young girl by grabbing her buttocks. The teen pushed the man off and ran, escaping his clutches. She was not physically harmed.
Officers from the 120 Precinct arrived shortly thereafter, but the man had fled the scene. The suspect is described as last seen wearing a blue and red jacket, dark pants, and dark shoes.
No arrests have been made.
