NEW YORK – PATH commuters should expect major delays Monday afternoon, as service has been temporarily suspended in parts of Manhattan.

What we know:

PATH train service between Journal Square and 33rd Street, as well as between Hoboken and 33rd Street, was suspended Monday afternoon due to a police investigation at 14th Street, officials said.

The Port Authority Police Department (PAPD) is continuing to investigate the incident, according to a 2:50 p.m. update from PATHAlert.

What you can do:

In the meantime, NJ Transit rail and 126 bus service are cross-honoring PATH tickets at Hoboken, Newark, Secaucus, and New York Penn Station.

What we don’t know:

PATH officials have not yet released further details about the nature of the incident or when service will resume.

“We are unable to disclose these details due to this being an active Port Authority Police Department investigation, with details still unraveling,” PATH tweeted.
