STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Little League District 24 All-Star baseball and softball tournaments enter day 10 on Monday and things are starting to get interesting.
For starters, the highly popular 12s baseball tourney was the last of the five divisions to kick off Friday and there are two more contests on Monday.
The 11s baseball division, meanwhile, has an interesting scenario come Tuesday. When the tourney resumes, South Shore (3-0) will visit Great Kills (2-0) with the top seed for the playoff round at stake.
The 12s softball division, which kicked off tourney play on June 13, has completed its round-robin play and the play-in round will take place Monday when Staten Island visits Mid-Island.
