“Since 2020, President Frank H. Wu has provided steady leadership at Queens College through a period of significant challenge and change, helping the college adapt to meet the needs of the moment and its community.
“During his six-year tenure, which began amid the COVID-19 pandemic, President Wu strengthened Queens College through several achievements. He led the establishment of the School of Business, supported by a multimillion-dollar philanthropic gift; implemented the 2021-2026 Strategic Plan; celebrated the opening of the Louis Armstrong Center and its designation as a member of New York City’s Cultural Institutions Group, securing dedicated annual funding; and, most recently, guided the college through the Middle States Commission for Higher Education accreditation process.
“As a former president of Queens College, I have a deep and lasting affection for this campus and its diverse, dedicated and talented community. I am grateful for President Wu’s commitment to the mission of Queens College and CUNY, and for the work we have done together during his tenure. President Wu will conclude his service at the end of July. We will announce an interim leader for the college in the near future.
