The Oak Hill Athletic Boosters have decided as part of their celebration of America’s 250th Birthday, they are proud to announce the return of the 4th of July Queen’s Contest. This contest will bring together community spirit, friendly competition, and support for a great cause.
This year, a group of young ladies from 7th through 12th grade have stepped forward as candidates for the title. Each participant is helping raise funds for the Boosters’ Independence Day fireworks show by selling raffle tickets, making this event both meaningful and memorable for everyone involved.
The raffle offers an exciting prize package valued at $500, including two Oak Hill High School Century Passes for the 2026–2027 school year (granting free entry into all non-tournament athletic events), two stadium seats, an Oaks stadium blanket, a $100 meal gift card, and a $50 gas card. Tickets are available for just $5 each or five for $20, and community members are encouraged to reach out to any of the candidates to purchase their chances.
This year’s candidates include:
7th Grade: Rhyan Lester and Tatum Nichols.
8th Grade: Hadly House and Elisabeth McCarty.
9th Grade: Macy Houser and Alanna Rawlins.
10th Grade: Addi Brown and Demi Myers,
11th Grade: Karisa Collins and Emaree Lusk.
12th Grade: Amarybee McCain, Olivia McKenzie and Elizabeth “Judy” Wolford.
As a token of appreciation for their efforts, all of the participants will receive 10 percent of the funds they raise, while the young lady who earns the title of Queen will receive 20 percent of her total sales. The queen will be crowned and the winning raffle ticket drawn after the parade on Saturday, July 4th.
