The Albany County Board of Elections lists four dozen voting site changes for Tuesday’s primary election on its website.
The changes affect locations throughout the county, including Albany, Altamont, Bethlehem, Cohoes, Colonie, Guilderland, New Scotland, Ravena, Selkirk and Slingerlands for the primary election only, according to the county site.
Alison McLean, the Democrats’ election commissioner at the Albany County BOE, said Tuesday that the changes have been on the site since May 26 and voters were informed by mail. The polling site changes were made with approval from the New York State Board of Elections and the state attorney general’s Civil Rights Bureau, she said, adding the vast majority of sites were not changed.
