Could Queen return to the stage once again? According to Adam Lambert, the possibility is certainly not off the table. 

The singer, who has fronted Queen on tours and special performances for more than a decade, recently addressed the band’s future and whether fans might see him reunite with Brian May and Roger Taylor for more live shows. While nothing is officially in the works, Lambert made it clear he would be happy to step back into the role if the opportunity arose. 

Adam Lambert: ‘There’s Nothing Actually Planned Right Now’ 

Speaking about the prospect of performing with Queen again, Lambert emphasized that there are currently no concrete plans in place. 

“There’s nothing on the books with Queen,” Lambert explained. “We’ve never had the conversation saying we’re done, but there’s nothing actually planned right now. It’s sort of up to them. They’re the boss. I’m the guest. If they call me and say, ‘Hey, we wanna tour again,’ I’ll say, ‘Yeah, sure, I’d love to.'” 

The comment is likely to excite fans who have embraced the Queen + Adam Lambert partnership since it first launched in 2011. 

Over the years, the collaboration has produced multiple world tours, festival appearances, and high-profile events, introducing Queen’s music to a new generation of fans while honoring the legacy of Freddie Mercury. 

What Comes Next? 

At the moment, Queen’s future on the live stage remains undecided. But Lambert has a lot going on for him. He is set to release his sixth studio album, Adam, on July 10. Still, the American Idol alum felt grateful for his time with the band. “I’m blessed. I’m very lucky. Everything’s worked out lovely for [me]. I have no complaints. I love that I’m making my own music now too. I mean, it serves two different sort of purposes for me. Getting out there with QUEEN is a huge honor.” 

He added, “It’s a huge opportunity to celebrate one of the greats, Freddie Mercury, who I love, and to give Brian and Roger sort of the facility to go and perform their songs and bask in their legacy, and to just have the audience singing along with every song. It’s like the best audiences because of Queen’s music. And then when I get to do my stuff, it’s scratching a different itch. I get to write about my own life. I co-wrote a lot of this album, and it’s about me, and it’s who I am, and it’s original, and it’s new. So it’s just two different kind of things. I’m lucky I get both.”
