A Franklin County woman is facing several charges after police said she fled a traffic stop, hit police vehicles, and led officers on two separate chases. New York State Police said they received a call from the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police on Saturday about an active pursuit on State Highway 37. The driver, Brooklyn Oakes, of Hogansburg, traveled through Massena, Louisville, and Waddington before stopping. Police said they noticed signs of impairment. When officers told Oakes to exit the vehicle, she put the car in drive and hit a patrol car. She then led police on another chase, hit a patrol vehicle again, and disabled it. Troopers used a tire deflation device to stop her and take her into custody.
