Rock Lititz mentioned in New York Times report about Swift-Kelce wedding | Entertainment

As speculation grows about a much-buzzed-about celebrity wedding, Lancaster County continues to be part of the conversation.

Pop star and Berks County native Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are expected to wed this summer, but details about when and where remain a mystery.

However, the New York Times reported this week that signs point to a multiple-day affair at Madison Square Garden – and Warwick Township-based Rock Lititz may have played a part.

“People who work for Ms. Swift have been seen at Rock Lititz, a production campus in Lancaster County, Pa., where sets for major concerts are constructed and where high-profile musicians sometimes rehearse,” reported the New York Times, sourcing an unnamed “entertainment industry executive.”

Tabloid TMZ previously reported that Swift commissioned a massive stage being built at Rock Lititz, also citing an anonymous source.

Following the TMZ report, Rock Lititz declined to comment when contacted by an LNP|LancasterOnline reporter.

“Rock Lititz respects the privacy of all artists, whether they are or are not our clients,” says Jill Brown, a spokesperson for Rock Lititz, when asked to comment about the staging.

Other clues pointing to a Madison Square Garden event, according to the New York Times, include a permit filed with New York City to close the streets around Madison Square Garden from July 2 to midday July 4; members of the Kansas City Chiefs booking hotel rooms for dates around July 3 at a nearby hotel; and Amtrak police officers being told to expect a Swift wedding the weekend of July 4. All details are according to anonymous sources “who have knowledge of the matter,” according to the Times.

The speculated pre-wedding preparations are not the first time that Swift and Kelce have been involved with Lancaster County.

Swift has worked with Rock Lititz previously, receiving millions in Pennsylvania tax credits to rehearse at Rock Lititz, according to previous reporting from LNP|LancasterOnline. Swift’s entertainment company, Firefly Entertainment, reportedly got $800,000 in tax credits in 2019 and $2 million in 2022.

In 2024, Kelce commissioned a Lancaster jeweler to create matching bracelets for the couple, with “TNT” spelled out on it (a nod to the first letters of their first names). The local business is called Wove, and it has since moved from Lancaster city to Manheim.
