The U.S. Attorneys Office for the District of Delaware said a federal grand jury has indicted a man from Brooklyn, New York, on charges of 4th degree rape for engaging in sexual conduct with a 14-year old from Delaware.
24-year old Claude Lennon faces a minimum of ten years in prison if convicted.
According to prosecutors, Lennon met the victim through an online messaging platform.
Despite knowing the victim’s age, the indictment alleges Lennon took a train from New York to Wilmington, then a ride share to meet the teen.
Lennon allegedly also provided the teen with $80 and marijuana edibles.
