The Broadway production of the Tony-winning musical Hadestown will welcome three new Fates to the company at the Walter Kerr Theatre next month.
Beginning July 21, The Fates will be played by Kelly Belarmino (Pirates! The Penzance Musical), KC Dela Cruz (Hadestown national tour), and Khori Michelle Petinaud (Just in Time, Lempicka). The trio will succeed Jewelle Blackman, Jessie Shelton, Kay Trinidad, who will all take their final bow July 19.
The Broadway cast is currently led by Gary Dourdan as Hades, Tony winner J. Harrison Ghee as Hermes, John-Michael Lyles as Orpheus, Gaby Moreno as Persephone, and Jordan Tyson as Eurydice with the chorus of Workers played by Malcolm Armwood, Sojourner Brown, Jeffrey Cornelius, Sydney Parra, and Alex Puette. Swings Brandon Cameron, Tara Jackson, Alex Lugo, and Max Kumangai complete the company.

Singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell’s folk- and jazz-infused musical
layers the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice with that of Hades and
Persephone, intertwining the actions—and consequences—of gods and
mortals. Hadestown originally began as a theatrical concert performed by Mitchell.
The creative team features Tony-winning set designer Rachel Hauck,
Tony-nominated costume designer Michael Krass, Tony-winning lighting
designer Bradley King, Tony-winning sound designers Nevin Steinberg and
Jessica Paz, choreographer David Neumann, and dramaturg Ken Cerniglia.
Musical supervision and vocal arrangements are by Liam Robinson, with
arrangements and orchestrations by Tony winners Michael Chorney and Todd
Sickafoose.
The show, featuring a book and score by Mitchell, won eight 2019 Tony
Awards: Best Director of a Musical (Rachel Chavkin), Best Featured
Actor in a Musical (André De Shields), Best Lighting Design of a Musical
(Bradley King), Best Scenic Design of a Musical (Rachel Hauck), Best
Sound Design of a Musical (Jessica Paz and Nevin Steinberg), Best
Orchestrations (Michael Chorney and Todd Sickafoose), Best Original
Score (Mitchell), and Best Musical.
Hadestown is also currently in its third year in the West
End (the musical returned to London six years after its 2018 engagement
at the National Theatre). The record-breaking North American tour
completed its coast-to-coast three-year run in 2024, and productions
opened across the globe in Sydney, Melbourne, and Amsterdam last
year.
