CONCOURSE, the Bronx (PIX11) — An FDNY EMS worker was punched after confronting a suspect who allegedly threw a rock at the ambulance in the Bronx Thursday morning, police and sources said.
The suspect allegedly tossed a rock at the passenger side of the moving FDNY ambulance near McClellan Street and Morris Avenue in Concourse at around 7:08 a.m., according to the NYPD.
The EMTs stopped the vehicle and got out to confront the rock thrower. The suspect then punched the 37-year-old medic during the altercation, sources said.
The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The suspect was taken into custody, and the charges were pending, police said.
