Demo Starts for Fort Greene Manse as It Sells for $11 Million
A demolition permit was issued by the Department of Buildings on Wednesday for the striking butter yellow Italianate manse on Fort Greene’s South Oxford Street, and the property has been sold to a developer for $11 million, city records show.

Historic Reformed Church of South Bushwick Burns
A fire destroyed much of the historic Reformed Church of South Bushwick Friday afternoon. The steeple is gone, as is most or all of the roof, and the top half of the structure at 855 Bushwick Avenue.
“It’s so sad right now seeing it knocked down,” said a local resident named Lewis, who has lived in Bushwick his whole life.
