A man is fighting for his life Sunday morning after he was shot in the head in Queens.
According to police sources, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. near 104th Street and the Van Wyck Expressway service road. EMS discovered the man, who was unconscious with a gunshot wound to the head, and who did not have any identification on him, remains unidentified.
He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he remains in critical condition, fighting for his life.
The investigation is being handled by detectives at the 103rd Precinct. Witnesses told police they saw two men, one wearing a pink sweater, flee the scene on a scooter.
As of June 21, there have been three shooting incidents this year in the confines of the 103rd Precinct, the same amount as 2025.
No arrests have been made in this case, and the investigation remains ongoing.
