Eight-time Tony winning producer Rose Caiola has established a new 199-seat Off-Broadway theatre, the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center Theater.
The MMAC Theater occupies a portion of Caiola’s 18,000 square foot performing arts facility Manhattan Movement and Arts Center. Productions staged within the theatre will have access to the complex’s rehearsal studios, as well as ticketing support, front and back of house technical staff, marketing and advertising support, and marquee and signage offerings.
Located in the heart of Lincoln Center on the Upper West Side, MMAC’s rehearsal studios have attracted some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Steven Spielberg, Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson, Madonna, Emma Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Bernadette Peters, Daniel Radcliffe, Nathan Lane, Constantine Maroulis, and more. Broadway productions that have utilized MMAC’s facilities include Dear Evan Hansen, Pretty Woman, West Side Story, Billy Elliot, Rock and Roll Man, Cinderella, Once on This Island, MJ the Musical, and more.
The theatre was softly opened this January with pilot production My First Ex-Husband. Information on future offerings is forthcoming.
