Ariana Grande has apologized to her fans after announcing that three upcoming concerts have been rescheduled due to production issues.
The Grammy-winning singer is currently on her Eternal Sunshine Tour, but has had to halt three dates due to issues outside of her control.
New York City’s Barclays Center show on Sunday, July 12 has been moved to Tuesday, July 14. The venue announced that this new date is to “ensure the full production can be delivered safely and as intended. The remaining Brooklyn shows will take place as originally scheduled.”
Boston’s TD Garden have announced that the show originally scheduled for Wednesday, July 22 will now take place on Thursday, July 23. The Boston show originally scheduled for Friday, July 24 has been moved to Sunday, July 26.
Ariana shared her heartfelt apologies to her fans for the rescheduling. “We are so sorry for these unfortunate scheduling changes. This was our best and safest option as these challenges with production have come to our attention,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.
“The utmost important thing to us all is safety, first and foremost, and also making sure you all see the show how it is intended to run. Thank you so much for your understanding and I cannot wait to see you.”
Just Jared theorized why the singer was rescheduling dates. “Ari‘s team likely realized how much work goes into deconstructing and reconstructing the stage for each city and more time is needed between upcoming cities to ensure the stage can be built properly.”
The Oscar-nominated Wicked star has just wrapped up shows in Oakland, Los Angeles and Austin. This is her first tour in seven years, with her forthcoming album, Petal out on July 31.
The Eternal Sunshine show has a range of classic Ariana hits and fan-fave deep cuts over its 23-song set list. This includes hits like ‘yes, and?’, ‘God is a woman’, ‘positions’ and ‘One Last Time’.
