Two separate housing lotteries are currently open for apartments at 711 Amsterdam Avenue, a Mitchell-Lama co-op located between 94th and 95th streets. Both lotteries are accepting applications through November 10.

The Mitchell-Lama program, established in 1955 through legislation sponsored by State Senator MacNeil Mitchell and Assemblyman Alfred Lama, was designed to provide affordable rental and cooperative housing for moderate- and middle-income New Yorkers. The program is jointly administered under both city and state supervision, depending on the development.

At 711 Amsterdam Avenue, one lottery is for a three-bedroom apartment, while the other is for a four-bedroom apartment—both available for purchase.
