THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A 93-year-old woman was hit and killed by a motorcycle a few blocks from her Bronx home on Monday, police said.
Leonora Campbell, 93, was crossing the street when she was struck by a Yamaha bike at the intersection of East 255th Street and White Plains Road at around 2:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.
Campbell was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved, police said.
The woman was in the crosswalk just a few blocks from her home when she was hit by the 31-year-old motorcyclist, who took off after the collision, cops said.
There have been no arrests.
