Brooklyn detectives want to talk to the boyfriend of a woman who was found shot to death in her apartment on Tuesday night in an apparent domestic incident.
According to police sources, officers from the 67th Precinct received a 911 call at around 11:25 p.m. on June 30 reporting an assault in progress inside an apartment building located at 2817 Foster Ave. in Little Haiti.
When they arrived, authorities said, they gained entry to the basement apartment, where they discovered 24-year-old Tatiana Pettus with a gunshot wound to her neck.
EMS rushed Pettus to Kings County Hospital, but she could not be saved and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Detectives are now looking for the victim’s boyfriend, whom they identified as the prime suspect and remains at large as of Wednesday morning. Sources familiar with the investigation say police were alerted to the incident by the boyfriend’s mother, who dialed 911.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
