Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are making a major investment in New York City before their highly anticipated wedding weekend.

The couple announced a $2 million donation to Education Through Music, a nonprofit that brings music education to under-resourced public schools across the city. The contribution will help the organization expand its reach and provide more students with access to music teachers, instruments, classroom resources, and performance opportunities.

Gift Expands Music Education

Education Through Music CEO Janice Weinman praised the donation, calling it a meaningful endorsement of the organization’s mission.

“Taylor and Travis’s extraordinary generosity is a powerful affirmation of that belief,” Weinman said. “This gift will help us reach more students, support more music teachers, and ensure that music remains a meaningful part of a child’s core education, especially in schools where access to the arts is too often limited.”

The donation reflects Swift and Kelce’s ongoing support for organizations focused on strengthening communities and creating new opportunities. According to the nonprofit, the funding will allow it to continue expanding music programs that serve thousands of students across New York City.

Founded 35 years ago, Education Through Music has reached more than 350,000 students by partnering with under-resourced schools. The organization hires and supports music teachers while providing curriculum, professional development, instruments, and other resources that integrate music into students’ everyday education.

Music classes provide more than artistic instruction. The nonprofit says its programs help students build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and pride while also contributing to academic success.

Weinman added that the donation will create a lasting impact.

“We are deeply grateful to Taylor and Travis for recognizing the power of music education and for investing in our students. This gift will make a lasting difference in the lives of children who deserve every opportunity to make their minds sing.”
