Tickets are now available for the upcoming community drag show, A Midsummer Night’s Queen. The show is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12 at the Turner Farm (812 West Main Street) in Buena Vista.

The event is organized by the BV Pride Coalition board as a fundraiser for the organization.
“Lord, what fools these drag queens be! We’re turning Shakespeare on his head with glittering looks, sky-high heels, and more drama than a royal feud,” states a post from BV Pride. “Dust off your finest fairy couture and come kiki with your favorite local royalty.”
Tickets cost $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event. Proceeds will benefit the BV Pride Coalition. Tickets are available for purchase online. There is an option to add a donation to the price of the ticket to support BV Pride.
This is an 18+ event. Attendees under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present for the duration of the event.
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. No bags larger than a fanny pack will be permitted inside the venue.
Attendees can bring their own camp chair or picnic blanket from which to enjoy the show. Folding chairs will also be available.

No outside alcohol is allowed. Beverages will be available to purchase at the event provided by sponsor Little Daisy Liquor.
Performers include Miss Gay Matte, Dick van Dyke, Ada Phalice, Angelo Death, and more with comedy by Kit Rivers.
BV Pride Coalition is a local nonprofit supporting the local LGBTQIA+ community.
The organization hosted BV’s first pride festival, Seven Peaks Pride, on Sunday, June 7. BV Pride’s mission is to “promote a welcoming and inclusive culture to uplift our local LGBTQIA+ community.”
