On June 24, 2026, at about 2:02 a.m. while on patrol State Police of Clifton Park located a disabled vehicle on Interstate 87 Northway in Clifton Park. The driver was identified as Casey M. Poplaski, 29, of Pittsfield, MA. Poplaski was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to SP Clifton Park for processing where she recorded a 0.19% BAC. Poplaski was issued tickets returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on July 29, 2026, and released to a sober third party.
On June 25, 2026, at about 5:23 p.m. State Police of Saratoga responded to the area of State Route 67 in Ballston for the report of a pickup truck hauling a trailer loaded with construction equipment that struck a rock outside a business. The uninjured driver was identified as Darin Dinallo, 49 of Mechanicville, NY. Dinallo was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st and other vehicle and traffic law violations. He was transported to SP Saratoga for processing where he refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood. Further investigation revealed Dinallo has had multiple previous DWI convictions in the last ten years, and his driver’s license had been revoked. Dinallo was arraigned at the Malta Twon Court where he was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.
On June 26, 2026, at about 2:38 p.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on Interstate 90 in Albany for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The driver was identified as William J. Kicher, 60 of Douglas, MA. Kicher was arrested for Driving While intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations. He was transported to SP Latham for processing where he recorded a 0.28% bac. Kicher was issued tickets returnable to the Albany City Court on July 16, 2026, and released to a sober third party.
