NEW YORK – A seaplane crashed into the East River on Sunday, according to the NYPD.

What we know:
Video on social media showed the plane bobbing in the water with one wing submerged as rescue crews worked to get the passengers out.
Officials told The New York Post that the plane took a hard landing in the waters and partially capsized just after 12 p.m.
Police say everyone involved was rescued. The plane has since been towed.
