By now, many of us have seen the jaw-dropping scenes of the flooding around the tri-state area, particularly around the Jersey Shore.

Days of heavy rain and strong winds have left a devastating impact: downed trees and flooded streets. The flooding has been so significant homes, businesses and even a hospital was impacted by it.

Photos by TheLakewoodScoop.com from inside Jersey Shore University Medical Center show flood waters overtaking hallways even reaching as far as the nurses station. In another photo, the ambulance garage was also flooded.

In a statement, Hackensack Meridian Health, the parent network of Jersey Shore Medical Center said:

“At Hackensack Meridian Health, the safety and well-being of our patients, guests, and team members is our highest priority.  Earlier this afternoon, as a result of the severe storm, we experienced flooding in Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and the Pediatric and Adult Emergency Department lobby. Patient care was not impacted and normal operations continue.”
