New York City could soon bring back a familiar warning for drivers who ignore alternate-side parking rules.
The City Council has passed legislation that would restore the use of sanitation stickers on vehicles that block street sweepers during scheduled cleaning. The large window stickers are intended to discourage repeat violations by making it clear when a vehicle has prevented crews from cleaning the curb.
The bill now heads to Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s desk for consideration.
