The lineup has been revealed for 92NY’s American Songbook and Lyrics & Lyricists concerts for the 2026-2027 season, which will feature performances by Stephen Schwartz, Jason Robert Brown, Shaina Taub, and more.
The American Songbook season will kick off with Patti LuPone: A Life in Notes October 1. Conceived by Scott Wittman and written by Jeffrey Richman, the concert pays tribute to LuPone’s remarkable career, weaving songs and stories together. Music direction and arrangements are by Joseph Thalken.
An Evening with LaChanze will be staged February 22, offering audiences the opportunity to witness the powerhouse vocals and magnetic stage presence that has resonated with audiences on Broadway and beyond for nearly four decades.
Wicked and Pippin songwriter Stephen Schwartz will perform June 12-14 for a celebration of his work, featuring performances of hits like “Defying Gravity,” “For Good,” “Corner of the Sky,” “Day by Day,” “Colors of the Wind,” “When You Believe,” and more.
Planned for the Lyrics & Lyricists season are concert evenings with Andréa Burns, performing the work of Joan Baez (November 7-9); Stephin Merritt (December 18); Shaina Taub (January 28, 2027); Jason Robert Brown, in a performance set to include material from his upcoming musicals Less and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (March 1, 2027); and Brandon Victor Dixon, exploring the work of Ray Charles (March 13-15).
