Trans-Bridge Lines is offering a limited-time, $31 one-way fare to New York beginning Monday.
The fare will be good for travel from the Lehigh Valley, northwestern New Jersey and select Bucks County locations to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, Wall Street or Newark Liberty International Airport.
The bus line said the promotion will serve as an introduction to the company’s upcoming new fare model, “a modernized, savings-based fare structure that will provide passengers with more opportunities to save on bus tickets.”
“Our new fare model is designed with today’s traveler in mind,” Tom JeBran, president of Trans-Bridge Lines, said in a news release. “Just as airlines, hotels, and many other travel providers have adopted dynamic pricing, we’re introducing a fare model that rewards customers who plan ahead while continuing to provide exceptional value and reliable service.”
A company spokesperson said the discounted fare will be in effect until Trans-Bridge determines when to implement the new fare model.
The new fare model will replace the company’s traditional fixed-rate pricing with fares that adjust based on several factors, including travel demand, seat availability, seasonal travel patterns and how far in advance a trip is booked.
Trans-Bridge said this pricing model allows passengers who book early or choose less popular travel times to take advantage of the lowest available fares.
“The new fare model complements the money-saving programs already in place at Trans-Bridge Lines,” said James JeBran, executive vice president and treasurer. “Our deeply discounted commuter pass program and reduced fare options will remain unchanged, ensuring that our frequent riders, seniors, and eligible passengers continue to receive the exceptional value they’ve come to expect while providing even more opportunities for savings for all passengers.”
When the new fare model is implemented, they will update in real time through the Trans-Bridge website, app and online booking platform, allowing passengers to compare travel options before purchasing.
