A building on the Upper West Side has informed its residents that legionella bacteria has been detected in the hot water system, according to a memo obtained by NY1.
The memo also indicated that the building hired a water management consultant, who will flush and disinfect the entire system on Thursday.
2. Former college basketball player shot and killed at tournament in Harlem
Kinu Rochford, 35, was shot and killed while playing at a basketball tournament in Harlem.
The shooting happened on a court in the middle of the Martin Luther King Jr. NYCHA development.
