Three people have died in a plane crash near the Adirondack Regional Airport in Harrietstown, according to the National Transportation Safety Board.
New York State Police say the small plane took off around 10:36 p.m. Monday, then quickly lost communication at around 100 feet.
Search crews later found the plane, which had been completely destroyed by the crash.
The NTSB is trying to figure out what caused the crash.
