PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – A Saranac woman failed a field sobriety test and has been charged in a Tuesday morning Plattsburgh crash that sent two New York state troopers to the hospital.

Investigators said 41-year-old Michelle Donah hit one of the trooper vehicles, causing a chain reaction. It happened at the intersection of Rand Hill Road and Route 374 in Plattsburgh.
The troopers have been identified as Jacob Casey of Plattsburgh and Jakai Townsend of Lewis. Both were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators determined that the two trooper vehicles had slowed for a car to turn when a third vehicle driven by Donah hit one of the troopers from behind.
Following a thorough investigation, troopers determined that Donah showed signs of impairment and administered a field sobriety test, which she failed.
Donah was charged with driving while impaired by drugs and alcohol. She was released and will have a court hearing at a later date.
