FORDHAM, the Bronx (PIX11) — A 29-year-old man was fatally shot in the head in the basement of a Bronx restaurant early Thursday morning, police said.
Officers responded to the shooting at the M Lounge Restaurant on Jerome Avenue near West 184th Street in Fordham at around 4:30 a.m., according to the NYPD.
The victim was shot in the restaurant’s basement, but when officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the head outside the restaurant, police said. Video from the scene showed cops performing CPR on the victim on the sidewalk.

Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. The victim has not been identified.
Police are searching for two suspects dressed in black clothing who were last seen heading south on Jerome Avenue, cops said.
It was unclear what prompted the shooting.
