NEW YORK, N.Y. (PIX11) — The NYPD is searching for two men they say went on a nearly month-long crime spree throughout the city.
According to police, a total of 29 robberies were committed between June 15 and July 10 by the unknown suspects, primarily in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, Brooklyn, as well as Ozone Park and South Richmond Hill in Queens. Additional robberies occurred throughout Flushing, Bayside, Forest Hills, Astoria and Dutch Hills.

Police say that, in 23 of the cases, men and women between the ages of 14 and 80 were first approached by the suspects on a moped. The suspects then allegedly forcibly removed the victims’ necklace or chain from around their necks, once at gunpoint. No serious injuries were reported.
In two other cases, a 41-year-old man allegedly had his moped taken, and a 29-year-old man allegedly had his unattended motorcycle stolen while he was inside a restaurant, according to police. The suspects also attempted to rob four other people of their jewelry, but were unsuccessful.
