BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — Celebrate and learn more about Nigerian heritage with IgboFest!
Igbo is the third most populous ethnicity in Nigeria and has a large population in the Twin Cities area.
The celebration will kick off with a gala on Aug. 7 at the Brooklyn Park Activity Center. Then on Aug. 8, there will be a free family festival at North Hennepin Community College.
The Umunne Cultural Association has been hosting the festival for 31 years. The event will include food, performances and more.
