A woman was murdered in a stabbing stemming from an apparent domestic dispute in Queens early on Tuesday morning, police reported.
According to police sources, officers from the 114th Precinct were called to a home at 18-64 41st St. in Astoria at around 12:24 a.m. on July 21. Sources report that neighbors heard a loud commotion and dialed 911.
When they arrived, officers entered the home and found a 34-year-old woman unconscious with a single stab wound to the back. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced her dead at the scene. Her identity is pending proper family notification.

Based on a preliminary investigation, sources familiar with the incident said, it is believed the murder stemmed from a domestic dispute between the victim and her husband.
A short time later, sources reported, a man was found dead and hanging in a park located at Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard at around 6 a.m. Tuesday. The man, who is reportedly in his 30s, is believed to have taken his own life.
Police are currently investigating whether there is any connection between the two deaths.
