Tuesday’s contest in the Bronx between the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Yankees was postponed due to anticipated sustained inclement weather, the Yankees announced several hours before first pitch.
Instead, the Pirates and Yankees will play a split doubleheader Wednesday at Yankee Stadium.

Wednesday’s original series finale has been moved from 1:35 p.m. to 1:05 p.m., while Tuedsay’s make-up will commence at 7:05 p.m.
It will mark the third doubleheader the Pirates will play in July.
On July 10, inclement weather in Pittsburgh forced a doubleheader the following day against the Milwaukee Brewers.
One week later, the Pirates’ July 17 contest at the Cleveland Guardians was postponed due to air quality concerns stemming from Canadian wildfires, leading to a doubleheader the next day.
