Tornado Watch issued for NYC until 9 p.m. Tuesday

CITYWIDE— THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE has issued a Tornado Watch for all five boroughs of New York City for Tuesday until 9 p.m. According to the alert, favorable conditions exist for a tornado to form. The agency urges residents to remain alert for potential warnings. 

In addition, a Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens until 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. The Weather Service warns residents to not drive or walk where water covers the roadway.  Move to higher ground, or, if in a basement, move to a higher floor.
