BAYSIDE, Queens (PIX11) — An off-duty NYPD officer was slashed early Wednesday morning in front of a storefront on Bell Boulevard, according to the police.
Witnesses say an argument between two men escalated into a physical altercation.

People from both groups jumped in before the 30-year-old officer was cut. The severity of his injuries hasn’t been disclosed, but he was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive, according to police.
Investigators are looking for two men who took off.
One was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, and the other had on a black shirt and blue jeans.
