Monica Makes It Happen is back in your communities, making it happen where it’s needed most.

This week, Monica reunites with longtime community champion Tanya Peddler, Tenant President of the Morrisania Air Rights Association, who is once again fighting for her neighborhood—this time to provide back-to-school supplies for more than 500 children.

Years ago, Tanya partnered with Monica to expose dangerous playground conditions in her community, helping secure more than $1 million in improvements.

Now she’s joined by Danny Barber, Tenant President of the Andrew Jackson Houses, and Alex Zeblocki of the Public Housing Community Fund to make sure every child starts the school year prepared for success.
