The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division earned re-accreditation after meeting state standards for emergency communications.
LOCKPORT, N.Y. — The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division has achieved re-accreditation through the New York State Sheriffs’ Association Public Safety Answering Point Accreditation Program.
As part of the re-accreditation process, the Communications Division underwent a comprehensive review of its policies, procedures, training practices and daily operations.
The assessment found the division remains in compliance with the professional standards established by the accreditation program. Those standards are intended to promote operational consistency, accountability and the delivery of high-quality emergency communications services.
“Receiving this re-accreditation affirms that the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division continues to operate at the highest professional level,” Sheriff Michael J. Filicetti said. “Our dispatchers serve as the critical first point of contact during emergencies, and I am extremely proud of the men and women of the division for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to the residents and first responders of Niagara County.”
