A 57-year-old man was left clinging to life after the driver of a 2023 Honda slammed into him as he biked across the City Island Bridge in the Bronx Friday, police said.
The cyclist was struck by the Honda driver, a 39-year-old woman, as she was heading east across the bridge that connects City Island to the Rodman Neck section of the Bronx around 9:17 p.m., cops said.
Images from the scene snapped by a Daily News photographer show the victim’s bike with a bent front wheel lying beside a black Honda SUV, a sneaker resting on the car’s dented hood and its windshield shattered.
The Honda driver remained at the scene and was not arrested.
