Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Commission on Government Efficiency, also known as COGE, held a meeting Thursday to finalize and advance five ballot proposals for the November election.
The questions range from cutting down the approval process for outdoor dining to speeding up city contracting to fast-tracking bus and bike lanes to establishing a process for putting money into the city’s rainy day fund.
The commission, hand-picked by Mamdani, says its goal is to make city government faster and easier to navigate for New Yorkers.
Ann Cheng, the executive director of COGE, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Friday to discuss more.
