Elkin 11-year-old with passion for soccer gets trip to watch Charlotte F.C. take on New York Red Bulls

An 11-year-old from Elkin is getting ready for the trip of a lifetime. Liam Sullivan’s family said he loves soccer and rarely missed a match until a series of seizures took him off the pitch.

As he recovers, Atrium Health and Charlotte F.C. are sending him on a trip to watch his favorite team take on the New York Red Bulls. Liam is getting a VIP game day experience.

He will also get to visit a few Big Apple landmarks along the way.
