Brooklyn Park police said officers arrested a driver Friday after a witness reported a man assaulting a woman before the driver fled a traffic stop.
According to the Brooklyn Park Police Department, officers responded around 9:15 p.m. to the 3100 block of Brookdale Drive North after a witness reported seeing a man punch a woman inside a vehicle.
Officers later found the vehicle and tried to stop it. Police said the driver then fled with the victim possibly still inside.
Then, Minnesota State Patrol assisted with aerial surveillance. Police said the vehicle eventually stopped and officers made an arrest.
Police said he was booked on multiple charges of assault and fleeing from authorities.
